Koden Electronics was founded in 1947. The free and lively atmosphere generated from the dawn of the company has been passed on to the current firm. While improving reliability and quality on the basis of the ISO certificate which is an international standard of quality assurance, Koden opens a new door towards the future with the unique products as well as cultivated technology in hand.

Koden's corporate philosophy actively stresses the importance of originality and encourages engineers to strive for the best.  Koden has been the first to introduce new technology in marine electronics in such areas as transistorisation, integrated circuitry and colour graphic technology.  Thus many epoch-making products have been introduced both at home and abroad.

The company has received many national and international grants as well as medals and citations for outstanding achievement.  Koden's radar was the first marine electronics product to be given MITI's G-Mark certificate for good design.  Koden was among the early pioneers of GPS for marine use, and it's technology now contributes to a wide variety of GPS applications.

Koden's name has it's place in the history of computers in Japan, as early as 1957.  Recent additions to Koden's product line-up fall in the category of mechanatronics technology.  Devices such as robots to check water quality and medical analysis instruments that combine mechanical engineering with electronics.  Brought up by the sea, Koden has ventured into areas of land, air and space to become a unique electronics company.
